About The Game

Japanese developers from From Software, observing the success of their gloomy console exclusive Demon Souls, decided not to stop, and continued to make similar games. This is how Dark Souls appeared, which sold out in huge numbers around the world and was remembered by all players for its unprecedented complexity. After the release of Dark Souls 2, which repeated the success of the first part, Miyazaki, the head of From Software, decided to add Victorian sophistication and beautiful cloaks to the original idea of the project – this is how Bloodborne saw the light

Main features of the game:

  • The inherent complexity of all projects From Software is that bosses kill with one blow, and there are a hell of a lot of ordinary enemies;
  • Gloomy Victorian style, with beautiful costumes and architecture;
  • A huge arsenal, which includes both cold and firearms.

The plot

As in all Miyazaki games, the plot of the game at first seems uncomplicated and simple – You are a Hunter, cleansing the city of Yarnam from a kind of plague that turns people and animals into monsters. It would seem that chopping and chopping your opponents with pleasure – but no, some of them even cause regret. As the player progresses, he learns that the plague was provoked by some Great Ones (very similar to the "cosmic" gods created by H.P. Lovecraft). These Great Ones gave the people of Yarnam their blood, a panacea, the transfusion of which into a sick person instantly cured him. But with the beginning of the Hunt and the rising of the Moon, the healed turn into fiends of hell. Who knew? There are three endings in Bloodborne, but none of them can be called "bad" or "good" – they are correct and logical, that's all.

Unfortunately for Russian-speaking gamers, there is no Russian voice acting in Bloodborne, and subtitles and item descriptions often contain blots. But which Japanese game doesn't have them?

Gameplay

It has already been said that Bloodborne is similar to its progenitors from the Souls series. But all that unites them is the genre of dark fantasy, an unobvious plot and an unprecedented complexity for modern action games. Specifically, the combat mechanics are similar (parry, backstab, riposte), but in Bloodborne, battles are much faster and more dynamic than in other projects From Software. In addition, there are firearms in the game, bullets for which you need to knock out monsters or buy. For instant healing, the player uses blood injections – there are a lot of blood involved here, so this is not surprising. Weapons can be improved by sharpening, inserting gems, or giving special power to blood or the elements. In the player's arsenal there are not only ordinary broadswords, rapiers and halberds, but also wonderful axes or bayonet saws, which should not be underestimated. The saw-axe, for example, is recognized by many players as the most convenient and versatile weapon.

The sequel

There are often rumors about the release of Bloodborne 2. They even say that it will be released on PC, but the authors of console exclusives rarely port games – even for Dark Souls, there were millions of petitions. Such a reaction from developers is caused by the fact that there is a great fear of losing most of the profits due to pirates downloading hacked versions from torrent
