This is a survival simulator set in a procedurally generated open world inspired by Scandinavian mythology and Viking culture. You will begin the passage as a simple warrior trapped in a fantasy Walheim. You will have to survive in harsh conditions, where, in addition to battles, crafting, construction and exploration of vast territories await you.

After purchasing the game on Steam, you will download it in Russian. However, localization will only be in the form of subtitles and a translated interface. But it's enough to comfortably play online. And you will most likely communicate with other players in English, because the project has attracted millions of people from all over the world.

Original or pirate?

Valheim is optimized for network play, you will need to log on to servers and collaborate with other gamers there. If it is possible to play online on a pirate, then only with great difficulties. 

In addition, the developers will fight against illegal users and eventually you will lose all progress. Therefore, buy a key (fortunately, it is not too expensive in our region) and enjoy the full gameplay in the circle of legal Vikings.

Crafting, fighting, building

Surviving in the Valheim world is difficult, but possible. To do this, the game offers a number of interesting mechanics. For example, crafting. By collecting materials like iron and wood, you can create weapons, armor, and tools that will help you fight monsters and build. 

You can easily build a house and place a workbench in it. And then learn how to combine the "ingredients" and create the necessary items. Also, to keep your body in fighting condition, you will eat regularly. To do this, you can search for food in the wild by hunting wild boars, or grow it yourself using seeds.

Performance and optimization

Despite the huge scale of the Valheim world, the game has modest system requirements. For minimal graphics settings, you only need an Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor with a frequency of 2.6 Ghz, an Nvidia GTX 5XX graphics card and four gigabytes of RAM. For maximum settings, an Intel Core i5 processor with a frequency of 3 Ghz, eight gigabytes of RAM and a video card no weaker than Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 are enough.

In addition, Valheim takes up only one gigabyte of disk space. As for network optimization, the developers have prepared dedicated servers. Judging by the user reviews, there are no problems with them.
